Our shower was holding onto the water from our washing machine there for a little while. Sam rented a drain snake from Home Depot and cleared it up. It’s been fine ever since.

The situation COULD/WILL get worse. Or, return to the original Chinese place, dump the remains after eating…. maybe your right… the garbage disposal was just pissed off that you changed places.
