Other TV Addictions

February 20, 2007 @ 9:15 pm ·

Since I just posted the start of American Idol Top 24, I felt the need to also let all interested know about other TV interests that Josh and I have found to be addicting!

Sunday Night

Amazing Race: While the All-Star series just started this past Sunday, this show always seems to have a way to draw you in and keep you glued to your seat for 60 minutes straight… oh and the drama, it may be reality, but the drama is hot and heavy! Go Boston Rob & Amber!!!!

Monday Night

Heroes: Now this is a series that Josh and I were talking about before it even hit the TV screen! The most talked about show (well except for LOST) this season, was being talked up before it aired back this fall. A brief overview of the show: A select group of strangers have secret powers that are displayed and come alive in them through the series. Many new characters are introduced and folded in to the existing storyline “Save the Cheerleader, Save the World”

Tuesday, Wednesday, (right now Thursday) Nights

American Idol: Who doesn’t know what this is about… really? Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson judge, in the end 24 contestants who auditioned in select states in the United States. After the Audition segment of the series the honored 24 contestants perform on one of two nights (yep either Tuesday or Wednesday night) this depends on if you are a male of female. Males preform on Tuesdays and Females Wednesday and then the “Results Show” airs Thursday nights. Once Paula, Simon, and Randy have eliminated 12 of the 24 contestants AI (American Idol) then airs on Tuesday and Wednesday nights with all contestants performing on Tuesdays and results being aired Wednesday. In the end one contestant wins and walks away winning a music contract with Simon Cowell… Is it worth it???

Wednesday Night

LOST: Since a previous post has been written regarding the storyline of LOST, I am not going to go into detail. Josh and I are still as hooked as ever and make sure we are home in time to see the show every Wednesday (right Mom and Dad?) My Dad is now watching the 1st season of LOST and Josh and I are having a hard time not talking to him about it, we don’t want to give anything away! This show is well worth every penny put into it and the cast is phenomenal!

Thursday Night

Survivor: This season (which I have lost count of the number of seasons that have been aired) is in Fiji. Now unlike past Survivor series this season has poisonous snakes… now I am not one for snakes, ask Josh my knees buckle!!! The contestants are your average group of contestants, and while Josh and I haven’t gotten into the show 100%, we still tune in every week, we route for the Ravu tribe, and thus far have been let down every week that they haven’t won! We’ll be watching on Thursday night, guaranteed!!! 🙂

Grey’s Anatomy: As I like to say a cross between ER and Scrubs – both good shows… Grey’s Anatomy has the drama feeling of ER with the light hearted humor of Scrubs. A group of interns and their lives and daily interactions with both patients and the Attendings. Many interns have grown and developed close knit feelings for each other and some for their Attendings. Who can’t wait for this show to air each Thursday, come on… Dr McDreamy, Dr McSteamy…. and for the men who enjoy the show Dr Montgomery!!! This show has a little Mc Something for everyone!!!

Megan’s Personal Favorite

One Life To Live: Now this is a personal favorite of mine… I have watched this show for many many years and still am drawn to it, in fact I DVR it daily!!! Yes it is a soap opera, and while many of you probably think it is silly, to me, it is just a way to relax and watch other people’s lives. Hey something dramatic is always happening on this show!!!

So there you go, some of the TV shows Josh and I watch weekly. While it may seem we are couch potatoes and do nothing but watch TV, we really do have lives and don’t depend on these shows to make it through the week… hey we have DVR we can do whatever we like and will have all our shows to come home to! So tune in and check out our top picks… you may surprise yourself and find yourself being addicted too!!!

I’m not sure that we live in the same solar system!. My nights seem to have less hours in them, then yours. But, then again, as every one knows…..It’s rah rah for the “History” channel at this location. Well, maybe not totally rah, rah.

Thanks, for the overviews. Now i can continue to enjoy watching all the reruns of the last 30 years of sitcoms. Although I must say i do enjoy a couple of the shows you mentioned. In fact maybe 3 of them. 🙂

    What’s television?

Is that the thing i only see Berber Music Videos and Jean Claud Van Dam Movies on. The locals have been known to call it the “Talking Box”
