Happy 4th and 1st

July 4, 2007 @ 6:31 pm ·

230 years ago today, the United States of America celebrated it’s one year anniversary of it’s independence from Britain.  And one year ago today, Inside Our Shell was born!!!

We spent some time today looking through all of the posts we made throughout this last year – so many memories! While initially not sure if our site would take off or just be something that we’d forget about and not update, we’ve done a pretty good job of capturing our many experiences, thoughts and mishaps throughout this past year.

This upcoming year will bring its own share of memories and posts; here’s a glimpse of the future:

  • Ebony’s Second Birthday
  • Floppie turns eight – that’s 56 in dog years!
  • A few summer weekend get-a-ways (hopefully)
  • Wedding chit-chat like finding a DJ, favors, cake and food tasting plus lots of other unknowns!!
  • Our trip to Rome and Morocco
  • All those holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter
  • Megan turns 30… dot dot dot …
  • Valentine’s Day!!!
  • Oddly enough, Josh no longer ages! (but still receives presents)
  • Maybe we’ll finally go to the movies???
  • Who knows what else!!!

As we continue onto the next year, we hope and plan to continue documenting our lives together – not only for our families and friends to keep up to date with our lives – but also for us to recall these memories many, many years in the future!

We hope you are enjoying your July 4th and thank you for being a part of our memories!

Don’t ever stop this “live” album. I love it…. Even if I am a little behind in viewing at the moment. It makes us real closer together, and makes me miss you less… “ok” so I don’t miss you less, it just makes me real great seeing and reading about your daily lives and special moments.

Megan it was so wonderful to see you again. I was so happy to finally meet the man I have heard so much about. I hope we can grow back together again and get together oftern. Isn’t it wonderful that the men we love get along just as well as we do!?!! We can’t wait until dinner on the 21st…
