Friday night we decided to pick up Chinese food on our way home from work. The food was great but little did we know that someone else in our house was hungry…..
As normal after we were finished our dinner, we disposed of any remnants down the garbage disposal. After cleaning up we went about our night as usual. A few hours later while sitting in front of the tube, we both got hungry and decided to have a pizza. Devouring the pizza, there was nothing leftover to get rid of other than rinsing our plates before putting them in the dishwasher, easy right? Not so easy when you attempt to turn the garbage disposal on and water and “scraps” come back into the sink. After a few attempts to clear whatever was clogging the garbage disposal, everything drained properly and all seemed well. So we thought.
Putting Floppie and Ebony “night night” we headed off to bed. Entering the bedroom we immediately experienced the most horrific smell imaginable, even topping dog throw up and the recently common “poopies” ((Yes we mean sick diarrhea with raspberry jam blood droplets)). Trying to locate the smell Josh entered the bathroom, passing the toilet and went right to the shower. “Oh My God”
We should have taken a picture because we can’t even begin to describe what we saw covering the bottom of our shower! Not poop, not throw up, not even mildewed shower crap, but our Chinese Dinner! Yes, there it was scrambled into small yet chunky pieces of broccoli, chicken, rice, and other veggies found in fried rice, plus probably some other “crap” from our pizza.
The only thing we can think of is that maybe we angered our garbage disposal because we decided to try out a different Chinese Food place for dinner. Probably not going there again.
Yes this is the truth, we do solemnly swear.

Having previously worked for a plumber, I think you better call one……..!
The situation COULD/WILL get worse. Or, return to the original Chinese place, dump the remains after eating…. maybe your right… the garbage disposal was just pissed off that you changed places.

Yuck, you missed sharing that story to me (us) verbally. Always new experiences popping up.

Not a good thing. I would keep a watch on this. May need some drano or cleaning out.

I am by no reach of the imagination a plumber but I’m certain this isn’t a good thing. Our shower was holding onto the water from our washing machine there for a little while. Sam rented a drain snake from Home Depot and cleared it up. It’s been fine ever since.
