This morning Ella was talking to Cooper. She got really close to him and he either A) was purposely ignoring her (as only a typical brother showing true brotherly love would) B) couldn’t hear her (to which we have bigger issues) or C) he was so focused on what he was doing that he wasn’t listening (uh oh multi-tasking may not be his strong suit.)
I stepped in and got his attention before sister decided to show her sisterly love in bringing back they Smackdown Queen!

On the drive home from my parents house…. Ella requested her blanket 104 times! Yes, I counted!!!!
I wanted to A) see how many times she’d say “I want it” and B) it was a simple way in which to keep myself sane while her voice elevated!
She gave up at the end of our street and gave one final “I WANT IT” as we pulled into the driveway!
Playing with Ella’s Fairy Minnie…. She asked me which color wand I’d like. I tell her and she says, no purple. This happened over and over again. I looked at her and asked her why she was giving me a choice if she wasn’t allowing me to have my selection. Good opportunity for a teach/learn 🙂
Ella is absent from school today because I had to stand my ground. It seems that ever since Show & Tell started the first week in January, Ella feels she can bring everything to preschool.
Today she insisted on bringing her play phone along with Coopers into class. I told her the phones needed to stay in her coat pocket until school was over. She threw a huge fit screaming and crying that I ended up giving her the choice of keeping the phones in her coat pocket or going home and not being part of preschool today.
In the end Ella chose no school. I took the phones from her and told her she wont be getting them back until Thursday.
I know I as the parent should not have permitted her to bring the phones in the first place. Up until today she would keep said toy of choice in my car but today insisted on bringing them in.
I have decided on preschool days no toys other then the Show & Tell toy will leave the house.
Parenting….rewarding but the hardest job!
Bubbers somehow managed to take a chunk out of the back of his head yesterday. Its not deep, just a gash…but being his head, there is hair so its matted in blood. His crib sheet is covered in blood spots and changing him is more challenging then normal. He appears fine…playing with his beloved cars!
Im worried about it forming a good scab since it gets rubbed so much!
Moments when my son is covered in applesauce and pasta sauce, I wish I could snap my fingers for a clean-up fairy to wisk him off to the bathroom and return him nice and clean!
