Dear Lord, I am all for singing. I feel singing is one of the most beautiful sounds, right next to laughter. However, my neighbors singing (if you want to call it that) from the top of his lungs to some 80s (if not older) rock music that he has blaring is awful. I seriously want to close my windows but I think I'd still hear his obnoxiousness. Yep, there is a dog howling at the unpleasantness now. Lord give me the strength to withstand his singing and try to find some joy in the fact that he is enjoying himself, even if it is a distraction and a discomfort to my ears. . Amen.

Today marks thr first morning she didn't wave back when getting on the bus. She met a new little girl who lives right down the street and they sit together each morning. Melts my heart...

So I dislike when my children bicker yet I tune in to watch Adam and Blake do it. What is wrong with me.... Oh wait I remember, they are grown men and know when to stop (I think)... I know I don't have to get involved. It's entertaining. Wish I could find that same entertainment in my two Bickertons.

Nice evening at Ringing Rocks back to school night! Great learning about Ella's classroom routine, curriculum and being able to speak with her teacher a bit. ;) We also met a few of the Specials Teachers, including the Computer Lab teacher... Josh loved that. Ha!!

Ella's Elementary School has a "Book of the Month" program where there children take turns bringing the book home for a night to read with their families. They then return the book the next day so another child within their class can bring it home to share. The same book title is used in the 3 grades. Septembers book is titled "Have you filled a Bucket today?" It focuses on how our actions can affect others. There are Bucket Fillers who do good things in turn filling their own buckets as well as the people around them. There are also Bucket Dippers... People like bullies and people who make poor choices or ignore others. For all ages, even adults it is a great book to really ask yourself each day what you've done to be a filler and what you've done to be a dipper. Such value and such a great lesson. Eager to see what October's book is!

We were headed to gymnastics a couple hours ago and drove through a construction zone. The Sign Men were doing their job - Stopping traffic one way and having the oncoming traffic drive SLOW. It was our turn to drive slow and the car who was leading the line of cars stopped suddenly. Here the Sign Man had turned his sign prematurely so the STOP side was facing us. That driver was abiding the law and STOPPED in the middle of everything. At first I shook my head thinking what an idiot, but really it was the Sign guy who was the idiot.. he wasn't paying attention and flipped his sign around as the FIRST car was not even to him yet!!!
