Being a parent takes more out of you then most full time jobs. I know staying home most think is easy and fun but I've found this summer while enjoyable also the hardest summer yet.
Today I've been told I don't care and that I don't want her to have fun.... She's lashed out at me more times than I can count and even when I decided to go swimming to get out a while both couldn't just have fun, they decided to bicker and in the end came home in their wet swimsuits and straight to bed.
I know it's partially age and the other contribution is VBS - as all week they are up way past their bedtimes but refuse to sleep in or take naps.
These days and moments are just draining and test my limits. Today I feel like I need a glass of wine or a cold margarita. Instead I'll absorb the quietness and try to finish my book.

Just finished this week's book talk with the library! So proud of both Ella and Cooper in answering questions, giving their opinions and take on the story.
They were the 2 youngest children and I could see they were a bit intimidated but did a fabulous job!
