Spending my day decorating for Christmas. I love decorating for Christmas and for some reason this year..I just can't get into it. Nothing looks right. I'm frumped out over it. Plus we have been getting real trees for the past number of years and this year are using the cheap generic tree that looks very cheap. Cause I get it there are some really nice fake yes!! I look at it and an just frumped out even more.
I realize I should be focusing on the fact that all these beautiful decorations are in deed just that, decorations. It isn't about them or the cheap looking tree...
However being how much I love the season of Christmas it's hard. Hard decorating in a frumpy mind set.

Spending my morning searching for Barrington (our elf)... Apparently after he visited in March for St. Patrick's Day he decided to hide (I shoved him somewhere) and I can't locate him.
My kiddos have been questioning when he's arriving because all their friends elves have already arrived. I wait till December 1st as 24 mornings of moving him and figuring out what he's gonna do is enough work for me...
I better locate his little rear-end or tomorrow is gonna be miserable. Or I'm gonna need to go to Target and get a replacement. Oye. Then once I locate "Original Barrington" I'll need to deal with a second elf.
Why didn't I just put him back in his proper place.

Woke up at 7 thinking the children had off today. We laid in bed, watched TV and then heard the Middle School bus go by at 7:50! I panicked.
Kiddos didn't shower last night so they got showered in less than 10 minutes, are breakfast, packed lunches, and backpacks and while they may have made the bus on time, I told them I'd drive them into school today.
Thank goodness I have today off or I'd really have a situation as I haven't showered.
Proud of my kiddos though for bunkering down and getting ready fast this morning.

Wow does it feel good to sit, even if it is bumpy. After 2 hours waiting for Avatar and walking around the entire park with our Explorers, I'll take it.
