In our numerous trips to the Philadelphia Zoo, I have never experienced the horrific traffic that we experienced today! It was crazy bad and after waiting on the off ramp for a 1/2 hour the parking garage was closed. We then sat in a line of cars for a small lot which only permitted cars to enter when the solo employee went and checked the lot for empty spaces.
This was frustrating, but it taught the children how we all need to be patient and wait our turn.
Once parked the line to enter the zoo was the longest I've ever seen and Members had you wait in the same line as regular ticket holders.
It was a chaotic mess, but once inside we had a super fun time!

Making rice for dinner. I have the uncooked rice measured out and find Ella and Cooper both eating the uncooked rice.
Yum, this is good they both say.
Ella: Tastes like French fries!
Huh. You don't like French Fries.

Watching Ella and Cooper do the Cha Cha Slide is quite comical.

This morning I was volunteering in Coopers classroom and was reading with one of the girls in his class. She looked at me as said.. " I wish I had a Mommy like you."
After I asked her twice what she said, as I wasn't certain I heard her correctly, I asked her why.
I couldn't image what the answer would be. I go in weekly and the children read to me and I help them sound out words they don't know. I help the teacher with classroom odds and ends and sometimes make copies.
What is so special about me...
Her answer was... "I wish my Mommy had hair like yours, it's so pretty and smells so nice."
Yet again why I so enjoy volunteering and being around these children.
