Tonight Cooper was crying in his room, calling out for me. I went up to his room and asked him what the problem was... he told me he was scared of his walls. Seriously, your walls Bud? I saw his eyes aimlessly moving in his head trying to focus on something to be scared of (as this is almost a nightly thing)....
I told him they are walls and they arent anything to be scared of and if he would like I could take him outside to the woods across the street and he could sleep there (I mean really kid - your walls) he decided the walls were ok.
Come to think of it when I was alittle girl I was afraid of the Yip Yip monsters that came through walls so I guess his fear is kinda justifiable!

We are headed to Myrtle Beach for vacation in a little over a week. The children are quite familiar with Myrtle Beach as we have been going each October for the past number of years. We spend a lot of time on the beach and searching for seashells, fun!!! We always end up bringing mounds of shells back to PA... my one garage shelf as zillions of bags of shells on it.
Today Cooper tells me he wants to pack pants with pockets so he can bring home lots of shells!!! I just smiled as I was thinking to myself that I don't think they make pants with pockets big enough to house all the shells he brings home!

Ella is in tears as she doesn't think it's fair that the party tomorrow is just for her and Cooper...She thinks that Josh Cook and I should also be celebrating our birthdays. She doesn't think it's right that we did all the work and don't get to celebrate our birthdays!!!
Such a big big heart!! Love her to pieces!!!

Well that was a fun night...
Proud of my kiddos however as they both woke up and both stayed in their own beds and went back to sleep. I didn't think Ella woke up but she said she did and I know she isn't lying as she asked if the storms woke me before I had a chance to ask her!! She said the lightening was bright and the thunder shook the house!!!
Cooper woke up but went back to bed with ease. He did tell me this morning he wanted to come to our bed...so proud he stayed in his room.
Now to get through this day as I'm exhausted. 4:00 wake up call from the skies with on going noise I didn't sleep from that point on.
How did everyone else make out through the night???

At Wal-Mart.... over charged by $2.00.... return/exchange line is 10 deep with one person at the counter. This is why I don't care for Wal-Mart.
After waiting 10 minutes I decided the $2.00 wasn't worth it.
A donation to their training and staffing department. I kinda don't think it'll make a difference.

All I want for Christmas is the voice recognition remote, the voice recognition remote, the voice recognition remote.......

I'm in the kitchen and the children are playing in the family room. I over hear Ella telling Cooper how proud she is of him and what a wonderful job he's doing... I smile, how sweet and supportive...
I then hear her say.. "I'd be even more proud of you if you do that over there."
Um ok... well that's terrific, be proud but get what you want by praising him. She is a piece of work.
I intervene as I look and see Coop is close to tears. Here he was doing a parade of cars around her fairy house and she couldn't play as she had no room... so her reason for him to move was valid, even if it wasn't the best way to vocalize it.
I'm proud of you...great job, now move!!!
