My children were just asking each other to play "glue".
I had to ask what glue is. It is exactly what glue does .... sticks things together. So basically my children want to pretend to be stuck together, they want to play this together and stay as close as possible getting in each other's personal space. Sounds like a horrific idea.

Ya gotta love when the one who isn't in dance class is telling the one who is that he doesn't want her to be late so he's listening and cleaning up while she continues to play pretend helicopter on the couch.

A milestone has been achieved in our house!
Ella is now helping to read her bedtime stories!!! The last few nights I've taken her to bed she's selected as one of her two stories, a simple, easy reader book. When she started doing this I thought it was interesting as the books are so simple and moreso geared for 2 year olds (flap books) than an almost 5 year old. Then I realized she likes reading these at bed because I let her help read the book and the words in them are easy for her to see (as the words are big) and repetitive.
This is such a fascinating achievement. Watching her sound out the word and having her learn to use the pictures to figure out words she may not know by looking at the word alone is rewarding as a Mommy.
She took an interest in reading months back but with the education she's receiving in her PreK program she's advanced greatly. Now helping to read stories and signs, paperwork etc. and sounding words out on her own is such a huge step her reading world!!
Way to go Ella!!!
