While at Giant today I was told I would make a great "bagger"... apparently I have the techniques it takes to bag groceries and I didn't even know it. To me it is common sense on what to pack with what and to keep "squishables" on top of boxes, jars and bottles or better yet in a bag all to themselves. I prefer to bag my own groceries and when in a line with an appointed "bagger" I actually feel myself get a little sad inside.
I may have missed my calling or maybe I've found my part time job in a few years when the kiddos are in school full time!

I've learned that swimming makes my children happy in the moment and cranky after they wake up from naps as they realize how tired they really are. The pros and cons of swimming:)

Has anyone read any of Lisa Scottolines' books? I started "Daddy's Girl" last evening and an 7 chapters into it. I am a bit uncertain what kind of books Scottoline writes. Trying a new author is sometimes difficult as you aren't familiar with the authors style of writing.

Cooper continues to question me as to why it rained last night. I answer with the simple answer of "God wanted to water the grass and trees and plants and put more water in PoPops pool so he (Cooper) can swim in it." I also told him that all those plants would be a lot of plants for me to water so he's helping me. He seemed satisfied with that answer.
The poor kid is scared of storms so I have started calling them rain showers instead of storms..he now says "it showered."

Had a great run with not being scared or minding Thunderstorms. Ella lasted 4 years and Coop 3. Last week however Coop, while enjoying watching the storm in the tv, decided he does not like the sound of thunder and the bright light of lightning. Ella jumped on the wagon and now is bothered by it too.
We now pull the blinds and turn the tv on our make it louder to hopefully help them not notice a storm if at all possible.
Thunder and lightning still scare me at my old age so I can't even hope this is something they will outgrow, just something they will learn is part of nature. I told them both tonight that our house protects us from the rain, thunder and lightning...a protective bubble. It seemed to ease their minds a bit.
