We are home!!! What a great trip to Clarion with my Mom!!! I am so proud of the kiddos!!! Josh and I don't do many over night trips with them so motels and sleeping any where but their own rooms isn't a regular thing and while they were over exhausted and excited about the newness of what they were doing (which caused them to resist sleep) they both did a fabulous job both nights away from home. Traveling with children no matter at what capacity is not anywhere near as easy as before children travel experiences. Josh got my Mom and I wine to enjoy after the children were in bed but when they went to bed I pretty much did the same. Vacations aren't vacations, they are known as trips when you have kiddos cause there isn't a vacation, there is just more of the same routines, jobs and some out of routine things that make it different from being at home. It is actually more work....It's all worth it though and I'm blessed to be able to do all these fun things with them even if it does get to be challenging!! Thanks for a fun weekend Janet Renninger!!!

Spending the night at my Aunt's house in Hershey tonight as we decided to break up the ride home from Clarion. Do it in two days vs. one as the kids spent long hours in the car Saturday on our trip out. Plan was for the kiddos to use this trip as an opportunity to use their new sleeping bags. Last night the hotel we stayed at had a few reasons as to why we opted to not have them use the bags. So tonight they were both super excited to try them out at my Aunt's house. As it would have it Cooper decided he would rather sleep on the bed like he did last night at the hotel and that a sleeping bag was not his thing. I had to explain to him that this was the sleeping arrangement tonight and that come August when we go to Tn for a week that he was going to be using his sleeping bag. I laid next to him as he cried himself to sleep tonight and big sister stepped up and laid so nicely falling right to sleep on the other side of the bed in her bag.

My husband comes downstairs this morning in his boxers, shirt and his work shoes on his feet. He looks at me and asks me if I find him sexy. I look at his get up and say, no not at all. I then asked him where his pants were. He gives me his explanation for showing up half dressed. His version of bare legs and high heels! I politely told him his shoes don't have enough heel!!! TGIF!!!

Playing soccer tonight with the kiddos on the deck. We were really just taking shots on the goal. Ella wanted me to be the goalie but didn't know the word for the position. She explained to me that she wanted me to be "the bully" who stands in front of the goal not letting her get the ball in the net! Well in a 4 year olds mind who has had no training in the sport I guess it would appear as if the person standing in front of the goal, blocking the net and kicking the ball away would be a bully in the sport. I explained what a goalies job is and how in the game of soccer you are trying to get the ball into the net by getting it past the goalie. I also explained that there are people who stand in front of the goalie who play defense and try their best to keep the ball away from the goal and goalie, they protect the goalie. I am no way a soccer professional but I think I mastered it at a 4 year old level! I also learned I am not a very good goalie.

I just managed to pack my clothing and the children's clothing for 2 nights away in 1 carry on size piece of luggage! Way proud as I know myself well enough that 2 years ago I would have packed each of us a suitcase full of clothing. Trying to learn to travel with less! Worst case, underwear will get washed out in the sink and air dried if that many accidents are had (hoping not!!!)
