Both children lost their tv time before quiet time today. I must say I kinda like that they lost it as it's nice just playing and not stopping everything to watch their shows. I'm sure in 20 minutes when I announce that it's time to go up for quiet time I'm going to have two whiners and I'll need to remind them as to why they lost tv, but right now I'm enjoying the play time!

The kids and I had a fun evening while Josh made dinner. We played frisbee and a little fetch with Ebony. They absolutely loved throwing a stick for Eb and watching her run for it and then run like a crazy dog with the stick in her mouth!!!
I foresee this being something they want to do with Eb frequently...the old pup better rest up and conserve energy!

Been up an hour and Ella is on the verge of missing out on a birthday party we are attending in Northern Jersey today.
She has hit and kicked Cooper numerous times and received a warning and had to drink pickle juice as punishment. That kinda backfired as she looked at me as she took the first sip of it and said "oh it tastes like pickles" - next time, soap in the mouth.
So frustrating as I hate having to use missing out on a birthday party as her bad consequence but nothing else seems to work. I will also hate sitting home all day so I hope she thinks before flailing her arms and legs into Coop.

Last night while doing bed time routine with Ella we were talking about eye color. She was telling me if we could change our eye color what color she'd like, of course she chose pink. Then as quickly as she chose it she said... "No not pink, pink eye is bad!"

If you ever visit our house and sit at our kitchen table and feel how sticky it is. I promise you it isn't old crusty sticky food...it's glue.
My children are crafty and LOVE glue sticks (what kid doesn't)...no matter how much I scrub, the stickiness remains.
In fact, I just scrubbed the layer of glue off where Ella was working so she could continue to craft.:) She looked at me and told me that I was turning into an animal, that is how hard I was scrubbing.
I try to keep a clean house but the table is just one thing that will always have a bit of stickiness left behind. Someday I will get a new kitchen table, when they have passed the age of doing crafts with me, and this table may be hard to part with as every time I touch it I am reminded of the fun they had doing those crafts with me.
We will continue to craft and use ridiculous amounts of glue and if you do visit us, beware of the table! ;)

Cooper was squealing like a baby pig. I told him he needed to stop squealing like a pig or I'd put him out in a pig pen.
He looks at me and boldly says "Pigs oink Mommy."
