Random Thoughts...

We have busy evening schedule for the fall with activities starting some evenings at 5pm. However, my kiddos give me such a hard time when they walk in the door off the school bus and I immediately have them do their homework assignments. It isn't much, it doesn't take long, but they don't want to do it immediately.
Problem is, the extra curricular activities start and it's too late to do it when we get home. Plus the later in the evening it gets they become more and more tired and then it's like pulling teeth.
I've considered doing it all in the AM, but I hate making them do it then when they have a full day ahead of them.
How do you all handle homework, reading etc? Looking for ideas.

Time to lay my Godfather to rest and celebrate the fabulous life and man he was.
RIP Uncle Frank.

On Monday my Godfather passed suddenly and we are burying him tomorrow. At 6:30 this morning my Mom called with the heart wrenching news that my brothers Godmother passed late last evening!
We were close to both these people growing up and have so many fond memories of times we shared together.
I honestly don't think I can take any more bad news.
