Just finished this week's book talk with the library! So proud of both Ella and Cooper in answering questions, giving their opinions and take on the story. They were the 2 youngest children and I could see they were a bit intimidated but did a fabulous job!

I've been hiding in another room listening to my children argue about who knows what, it's always something ridiculous. This time however instead of coming out of hiding and helping them resolve the issue, I let them figure it out. It really wasn't comical but I sat listening to them yell back and forth and eventually Cooper walked away. Ella yelled at him to go to his room as he must need some alone time to which he yelled "no, I'm just gonna walk away further!!" It's gotten very very quiet.. maybe I need to try this more. With Ebony passing away a month ago the topic of death and having Ebony's body here on earth but she goes to heaven with God has come up frequently. I've tried to explain that part of her stays here with us and part goes to heaven. I've used examples and showed the children cemeteries to which they said.. "Oh yeah we thought they were rock gardens." Cooper even went as far as to say the biggest rock must be Jesus's he's the most important.
