The learning process is so interesting and intriguing to me.
Ella has not learned the word “me” yet….So every time it should be “me” she says “I” instead. I know one day it’ll just change…a switch will go of in her head and the word “me” will be an ongoing word in her vocabulary.
All these small things is what makes children, children. Sometimes I think I’d rather not know the word “me” and some of the other things and words kids don’t know so I could be a kid again!
Ella is talking non-stop about going to the beach with MoMom and PoPop. Talking about going on the beach, jumping in the water, playing in the sand. The girl even pulled a pair of summer beddies out of her drawer.
She finished off her stant with the declaration of wearing panties there. I think she said it to see if I was paying attention to get!
Here she is ready to go minus the long sleeved shirt, socks and apparently her diaper as she’ll be wearing panties!
We still use baby monitors for both Ella and Coop…thinking about retiring them once in our new house since we will all be on the same floor.
One sound I will miss is the sound of Coopers baby snore. While the sound of snoring off not at all a pleasant sound, somehow Coopers snore makes me smile. I picture him under his blankets, mouth open at peace…
Josh has a meeting at church tonight so I’m home with the kiddos…I told Ella that she could either stay downstairs or read in her room while I put Coop to bed (rock him, say prayer and sing to him)….She insisted on going along to help put him to bed.
I told her she would have to be quiet. She stood right next to the rocker and listened to prayer (adding a couple people of her own to his prayers) she then sang Jesus Loves Me and stroked Coopers hair while we sang.
I was so proud of her…it honestly was one of the sweetest most memorable moments I have had with them. Some moments of being a parent are more rewarding than others and this was one of those times.
I felt so much love in that room!
My parents have a big oversized rocking chair/lounge chair….Its funny watching Cooper rock himself. It takes his whole body to get the thing to even budge!
When he’s 15 he’ll be drapped over the thing like a giant in a mini me chair and it will require no effort to rock it!
