Good, unique restaurants are hard to come by in our area. While Josh and I keep our eyes open for new places and like to try new places, it is hard when there aren’t many places in our surrounding area that look that great or that are unique!
Just outside of Pottstown on Ridge Pike in Limerick is a quaint family owned eatery that Josh and my Father ate breakfast at in the fall of 06. Making a great impression we decided to go one Sunday after church. The food is phenomenal!!!! The fried potatoes that you can order or that come with some of their breakfast dishes are “out of this world”!!! They cut the potatoes so thin and they have a sweet taste to them, so good!!! Some of their other exceptional dishes for breakfast include French Toast (literally “Piled High”) and their pancakes hold a place in the Winner’s Circle too, the pancake is as big as a dinner plate and you can order fresh fruit on top, under, or cooked in the “cake” depending on which type of fruit you choose! If you are an egg person, their eggs and bacon, Canadian Bacon and even Ham are great dishes too! My Dad has even started ordering Scrambled Eggs!!!!
Josh and I decided one evening after grocery shopping to try out their Dinner Menu, while very limited the options were so hard to decide from. The standards on the menu (sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups and quiches) were accompanied with a one page Entree Menu. Chicken dishes, many seafood dishes, along with a few beef dishes… made the decision very hard. Impressed with the breakfast and now we were impressed with the dinner to, hmmm wonder how lunch is?
We found out how lunch was a few weeks later, after Reception Location looking, Mom, Dad, Josh and myself had lunch together. The lunch menu is a little “Gourmet” yet “Casual”, wonder why the place is called “The Casual Gourmet”….. Mom and I stuck with a simple Chicken Caesar Wrap, which was very good and very fresh. Josh tried a Cheesesteak, which isn’t your typical Corner Pizza Place cheesesteak, it came out on a big, soft, fresh over-sized roll!! Dad had a sandwich that was piled high with an assortment of deli meats, it looked really good!!! We liked it so much to took Josh’s Mom and Lisa back for lunch the Saturday they came up to visit… they both weren’t hungry when we went, but both ordered and both managed to leave without doggie bags!!!
Yes the food is good and while the place is very small and you find yourselves waiting for a table on Sunday mornings, the food is worth that wait!

True, True, True!
Maybe one of the few really good “homemade” Burgers around. And, yes, the bun/roll thingee that it came in was terrific. Definately need to go back! Thanks for sharing 🙂 ….”ok” so don’t share the fries.

Friday night I ordered Chicken Parm and while it was really good, I could only eat half of it. Why you ask? Well, because it was HUGE! Seriously, the piece of chicken was almost 2 – yes, TWO – inches thick!!! By the way, guess what I’m having for lunch today??? Chicken Parm Leftovers!!!
