Hand & Foot Results for 2007

January 1, 2008 @ 12:02 am ·

The first time Megan brought me to her parent’s house for dinner, we ended up playing a game called Hand & Foot afterwards. A rather simple card game once learned, it involves patience, team-work and good-old luck. While I won’t bore you with the details of how to play the game here ((Megan and I have purchased a special domain name just for this purpose, we just haven’t got around to building it yet)), I would like to share with you the final results for the year 2007.

Two teams – Megan and myself – and our opponents Janet ((Crazy Mo)) and Richard ((Papa Pokey Smurf)) , Megan’s parents, play an average of three games a week and in the beginning of 2007 we decided to keep track of how many games each team wins throughout the year. Let’s see the results:

2007 Hand & Foot Results!

Yes, you did read that right, Megan and I won 60 games to their 41 wins. I wonder which team will have the most wins in 2008? Only time will tell! ((Although I’m sure it will be Team MJ!!!))

Good comment Matt! I also wonder why the year 2006 was not mentioned. I do enjoy playing the game and your little comments while playing Josh, and just spending the time together whoever wins!!!

Dear Peanut Gallery: The fancy Excel spreadsheet was just used for the scoring of an individual game – not totals throughout the year. Although we haven’t seemed to use it in awhile as it’s just as easy to keep score manually. Go figure – pen and paper is just as easy a using a computer. As far as the final score for 2006, no records were kept that I’m aware of. And if they were, you must have trashed them as we probably ended up winning then too! 🙂

OMG! Josh states: “-pen and paper is just as easy “a” using a computer.” Wow! Never dreamed that statement would come out of your mouth….mine maybe!
And………who keeps the little piece of paper with the marks on it thru out the year. Is it kept in a safety deposit box…..who has the key?
Dad wants to know if the two of you use ear phones when playing…:) (just trying to help Janet)

Although I’m sure I’ve been subjected to this game at some point in my life I really don’t remember. I’d love a refresher course next time we’re over!
