Santa’s Disco Elves

January 8, 2010 @ 6:48 pm ·

This year our Christmas holiday was a bit more laid back then years in the past. With Megan being preggers and the possibility of a ton of snow on the ground, we decided to spend Christmas Day with my parents and Christmas Eve with Megan’s parents. Not only did this remove the rushing around, it also allowed us to spend more quality time with each family.

It’s nice catching up with everyone during the holidays – it always just seems a bit more relaxed even if you saw that person a few days ago. Getting to just sit and talk about days that have passed or future possibilities ((or future realities like little Lima)) is a great thing to do with family! It’s funny though as the Jersey family are much more kitchen people then the PA family. Regardless of the size of the house, we always end up migrating to the kitchen for some reason when we’re with my family. Megan’s family I guess just understands how to use the entire house!

One thing we did realize this year is that next year is going to be completely different. With little Lima joining us sometime in May, next Christmas ((probably Thanksgiving too)) we’re staying at home. We hope that everyone comes to our house for Christmas day 2010!

While at my parents we did manage to start a new tradition, although I’m not sure if we’ll do it again next year as it was very tiring. Luckily we managed to video tape it!

Way to funny, you guys have great moves!!! My family are kitchen people too. Not sure why, the sofa is much more comfortable then the hard kitchen chairs…

I agree 100%. My family are kitchen people, I don’t know why Josh states that we aren’t. Come to think of it we are at my parents house at least once a week and spend all our time in the kitchen!
