Certain things are just worth passing/continuing with your own children. The drinking of milk with dinner.
I did this for almost all if not all of my childhood and while living at home. In fact, I still have milk with dinner when at my parents house.
Josh and I decided that we will drink milk with our children each night. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that get passed on…but the drinking of milk at each and every dinner no matter if it was pizza or pasta…we had milk! It wasn’t questioned and still isn’t, right Sarah Aguilar???

Driving around in the rain since both kids fell asleep….reminiscing with Josh about how things were before kids! How lives change…they are worth it!!!
Watching Pup Patrol with the children tonight before they went to bed, I hear Josh mumble really loud “oh come on!!!”
He then laughs at himself and says to me….”I’m ok with the dog’s doghouses turning into cars, but I have a problem with the guys 4 wheeler changing in to a boat!?!”
I in turn remind him that it is a children’s show….and it surprises me that he had issues with this when he’s ok with “Bucky”, Jake’s ship on Jake and the Neverland Pirates, who steers himself!!!!
We had a good laugh on and off for a few minutes.
We watch these shows nightly with our children and while often far fetched and unbelievable they love the time as a family!
Josh and I find humor in it too which is an added bonus 🙂
Love you honey!!!
Josh and I had a night out in New Hope, PA. We stopped at Peddler’s Village and New Hope Winery on our way. We then had a nice lunch in the town of New Hope. We did a little shopping, a little drinking, had an enjoyable dinner, in an old church and then had a spur of the moment catch up with my cousin Craig and his wife and daughter who were over the river in Lambertville, NJ.
Great weekend getaway!
Ever have a day when you wish you could be a kid again? All those care free summer days doing what you wanted without a care in the world. Mom and Dad had it covered.
Now as a parent I sit and watch my children and think wow I’m the one who “has it covered”…
I know I am not perfect, far from it. I’m not a Mom who has it all together, far from it. But my children love me regardless and know nothing different. They are happy, smiling and always ready to do and go…ready to give me a hug and a kiss every day.
In their eyes I DO HAVE IT COVERED!!!!
