As we all know I am going to become a big sister this June! I know there are a lot of responsibilities of being a big sister, including to look out for “the little one”!!! Today I was very lucky because I was able to go to the doctors with Mommy and Daddy to see “Peanut”. Usually MoMom and PoPop stay with me while Mommy and Daddy go, but today was an extra special day. Besides it being Valentines Day, it is also the day that we hopefully would find out if “Peanut” is a little girl or boy. Will I be having a little sister or a little brother?

It was a great day! I woke up this morning to do my usual chit-chat in my crib. This morning Daddy came into my room and wished me a good morning, usually it is Mommy who comes in! Mommy and I spent our morning together and this morning there was a Valentines Day Survival Kit that Daddy put together for Mommy. Mommy looked surprised and happy to find comfy clothes, a new pillow and a blanket to cuddle up with when she relaxes all in the kit!!

Since it was a beautiful day Mommy, MoMom and I took a walk outside. It was great to be out in the fresh air and out of the house for a bit. I hope that later this week we can go for another walk, they remind me of the summer when we went for walks everyday! After my nap, I had lunch and helped Mommy put together our gift for Daddy. Daddy loves these things called Chocolate Covered Pretzels.. so Mommy and I gave him a few containers of them from Gertrude Hawk, they look good!!! I also took time to “write” out my card to Daddy, I did need Mommy’s help as I am not good with writing yet. We then left to meet Daddy at the doctors office!

I was excited because Mommy and Daddy continued to tell me that I would see “Peanut”. We waited for a few minutes and then we went back with the “Peanut Finder”. Daddy held me because Mommy had to sit on this table so the “Peanut Finder” could look at Mommys belly. This black and white picture appeared on the computer thing and the “Peanut Finder” was showing Mommy and Daddy all the different parts of “Peanut”. They kept telling me that I was that little and that they saw pictures of me when I was in Mommy’s belly too!!!

Mommy and Daddy then heard the news they ((and I)) were waiting to hear, was “Peanut” a boy or girl? Was I having a little sister or brother?

I’ll share, but first I want to tell you about the GREAT gift Mommy and Daddy got me for Valentines Day!!! When we got home from the doctors office, Daddy opened his card from me and his Chocolate Covered Pretzels. I then received this cute lion that growls and makes all these cute noises, I loved it and smiled and laughed! 🙂 I carried the lion around with me while I walked in my Elmo walker, he is just so cute!!!

Okay enough suspense… So I am going to be a big sister and while I have many responsibilities as the big sister I know that I will love and look out for and maybe rough house my little brother just a bit!!!
