Out of Hibernation

We realize that we’ve neglected both Inside Our Shell and our Photo Album for the last 10 months – let’s just say we’ve been very busy!

In addition to parenthood consuming all of our available time ((Yes, we know everyone told us it would)), both websites also experienced technical issues that we’re finally getting around to fixing. Don’t worry, even though there’s only one picture of Cooper, we love our Son very much! 🙂

Megan is enjoying being Mommy Full-Time. Staying home with the little ones has its ups and downs but all in all Megan is living the dream of being home with Ella and Cooper. We stay very busy over the course of each day. With Cooper being under a year he still requires two naps daily so we spend a lot of our time at home. We have a great routine that works very well for us. Some Mommy/Ella time in the AM and some Mommy/Cooper time in the afternoon seems to keep all happy! Ella and Mommy did do some Storytime days at the local library over the winter months. It was nice getting Ella involved in something outside of the house and around other little ones. She loves book so this was right up her alley! We hope as Cooper gets a little older we can get involved with some more fun activities! We’ve been having fun and each day brings something new and exciting!

Josh is still happily employed at Help Now as the IT Operations Manager ((in addition to wearing several other hats)). His work is very demanding at times although always rewarding – it’s amazing but Josh still enjoys working for Help Now even after five years! Mornings, nights and weekends ((plus the occasional weekday)) Josh turns into Daddy and husband – trying to spend every remaining minute of the day with Ella and Cooper and then, hopefully, a little Husband/Wife time with his Soul-mate. While “Daddy Josh” does miss out on several “firsts” and some of the cute “things” that children tend to do, Mommy keeps him up-to-date as much as possible throughout the day with text messages, emails, pictures and even the occasional phone call! Daddy just wishes there was more time in the day – he misses his little girl and boy every minute of every day when he is not with them!

Becoming parents has changed our lives in so many ways. We are both doing well and enjoying our children and watching them become their own “Little People”.

We are looking forward to getting everyone caught up over the next few weeks – once again sharing our life, and the loves of our life, with you!
