Interesting piece of information I just heard...a lot of bars in NYC got permits to stay open until 8 am tomorrow morning. That's dedication....and a lot of New Year's Partying. Couldn't do it....my eyes are calling for tooth pick aides!!!

While it's been rather lame up to now...ABC's Rockin' Eve brought on Chris Doughtry :-) he was my favorite all those years ago on American Idol!

Reflecting on this past year I honestly can say I had a good year...Yes there were some not so good moments...Ella breaking her leg and Josh's car accident to name a couple...but the list of goods way exceeds..moving into our new house, both children in school, Ella out of diapers, Cooper talking more and more making our lives and his less frustrating, vacations & time spent with our family...to name a few. I am truly blessed and have nothing to be unhappy about...my year was great!
As 2014 approaches I look forward to what lies ahead. I know some things won't be that great but I know without a doubt we will have many great experiences that in a year from now I will be remembering as we approach the end of another year and the beginning of a new one!

Lessons are sometimes the hardest thing to learn and understand.
Ella had a tough day with lesson learning. She lost a brand new chap stick that I bought her while at Wal-Mart this morning....she would not listen to me as I explained letting it sit up on the kitchen counter was probably the best option as she would know where it was when she wanted to use it. This is not the first chap stick she has lost and not the first time she felt keeping it with her was the better way handle keeping track of her chap stick. I let her do it her way again only after explaining I would not be buying her anymore chap stick if she lost this new one. Yep, lost it and after a big search and talk about how Mommy and Daddy sometimes suggest she do things a certain way because we have been down the same path and in this case lost many a chap stick. We found it and it now sits on the counter.
She also didn't get a reward sticker tonight as she threw a horrible fit at quiet time...kicking the door causing a picture to land on the floor and then when she went to move it, it fell on her head. She screamed for 30 minutes and when Josh went to check on her she said she wanted her chap stick. That does not weren't yelling for 30 minutes. Bad choices = bad consequences. No reward sticker and she lost to Sophia dress until tomorrow.

Ella knows all the words to "All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth"...adorable hearing her sing..."Sister Susie sitting on a thistle"...comes out so close but thistle is more like sistle :-)

Both children in bed by 7:30...Sitting in front of the burning fire in the family room with the hubs. This is relaxing. :)

One thing I don't understand.....pink camo. Isn't the purpose of camo to stay out of site, view...be incognito....invisible for others to see?
So what is the whole purpose of pink camo. I have never known anyone who wears pink to be a person trying to stay out of site, view, be incognito or invisible...pink is a vibrant, loud, bright...look at me color!!!
Who loves camo that much, really? Just don't understand.
