I left Ella in the children's bathroom while I got Coop situated for Quiet Time...I come back to find Ella on the potty with a bottle of lotion open in the act of dumping the lotion on her legs! She had it everywhere, it looked like the bottle exploded on her. Needless to say this was not the first time she thought she was old enough to lotion herself. I'm all for her trying things by herself but lotioning herself = one big mess! I made her clean herself up and I took all the lotion, sprays, shampoos etc. and put them in an out of reach spot for the time being. Every night before bed she claims to be itchy...I don't see how that is possible tonight!

Being that Cooper is in a two year old playgroup he does not have conferences but his teachers do send a mid-year progress report home. Cooper is doing an amazing job and I did not need a progress report to know how much he has grown since September. Socially, Fine & Gross Motor Skills, Art & Music Skills he is doing great and learning so much but I personally notice so much growth and improvement is his listening and speaking skills. You're doing a fabulous job Bubs and I am so proud of how much you have grown in the past 6 months! Keep up the great work!

Good student, gets along with everyone, is a good listener and knows her stuff! She then said she is a real love bug! (yep sounds like my Ella) Way to go sweetheart, prouder than proud..love ya Bear!

Cooper claims his favorite restaurant is Ice House. He drives his cars to Ice House almost daily where they order french fries and chicken. Tonight I read him "Down By The Station" & the train, school bus, tractor trailer, fire engine, race cars, excavator, sail boat and rocket boosters were all going to Ice House too! Kids minds are so funny! Love ya Coop, hope you have sweet dreams of Ice House!

Cooper got out Ella's Doc McStuffins Doctor Bag book. It has pop out pieces that can be used to give a check up. Ella saw this and immediately wanted it. Teaching taking turns, patience and sharing has been an ongoing training in this house for some time. I told Ella that when Coop was finished giving a check up he would give her the book. She said fine and went upstairs. A few minutes passed and she returned with Coopers favorite: Thomas the Train bath squirter. He sleeps with it and it goes everywhere with him. I looked at her, smiled and told her she is too smart. (Thinking Coop would lose interest in the book) Well it back fired, Coop continued to give the checkup he was giving making his sister wait. Unhappy but tolerant she found something else to play with. Proud of them both...he finished his checkup and gave the book to her...now both are playing nicely together!

I used Nilla Wafers as the yokes in last evenings Dr. Seuss dessert. Today I have the children a couple on their lunch plate and Ella calls them "egg thing cookies" :-) Introduction to a new item used to make a cute dessert may cause my child to refer to the cookie as an egg cookie!

Realizing I don't know the majority of the movies etc. that are up for an Oscar. Josh Cook just insulted the dead man Gil's wife. I do agree her dress is ugly.
