I asked Ella if there is anything special she would like to do tomorrow for her birthday.
She looked at me and started to describe the Ariel bath doll that she's been wanting and said she wants to go buy that.
I explained that we don't buy the things we want on our birthdays, we receive gifts from others.
She thought about this and then said she wants to do a craft on her birthday.....oh great...
Wasn't prepared for this...now I need to find some special craft that we as a family can do together.
No pressure.

I've worked all week at laying two tons of mulch. I have one wheel barrel full left which I'm saving and will top off the one section which I went light on first time through. So proud of myself, but my body is hurtin'!!!
Next week I'm going to prep a section of yard to attempt to grow tomatoes!
I love this time of year, hard work but so worth it!

Who needs a gym membership....2 tons of mulch is a perfect workout.
Lifting fork full after fork full of it into a wheel barrel.
Moving wheel barrel.
Dumping wheel barrel or lifting fork full after fork full into spot.
Wrestling branches and bushes to even mulch out.
Repeat.

To think...this former Payroll and Benefits Administrator traded in the life of paperwork, high heels, client and employee issues, a commute and a paycheck for a job of SAHM which includes paperwork, slippers/barefoot/flip flops (my choice), children issues, a taxi service and no paycheck, but never ending love. Plus I get to enjoy the sunshine in days like today and lay two tons of mulch!
I'll take it!!!!
