Last night while Ella wad in the bathroom getting ready to brush her teeth she looks at new and said.....
"Mommy you are like the Little Red Hen."
I asked her why. And she replied...
"Because you do all the work.
Thanks for the recognition sweetheart! :-)
This week in the Explorers program at school Ella is learning about sine folktales and The Little Red Hen is one of those. So happy she took something away from her afternoon experience! :-)

Went into Ellas room this morning and she just sat there as I got her outfit from the top of her dresser and laid out on the floor so she could get herself dressed for school. I then went to her closet and got out her sneakers.
Ella: Mommy you know why I'm just sitting here?
Me: No, why Ella?
Ella: So I can watch you and see everything you do and learn from you.
Um ok...not sure if that is factual or if she is smart and knows an answer like that makes me smile and I get irritated that she's just sitting there. Regardless, it was sweet!

The children are fascinated with ice sickles. Yesterday Josh brought one in from our gutter and showed both children how they are made of ice. Then on our outing they were in search of them. Cooper continued to call them " ice cubes"..... :-)
We did see some pretty incredible ones on our ventures yesterday. The one even had water running through it.
They are magnificent and such a unique formation. Just like snowflakes, none are the same!
