We took a ride to the bank with Josh as he had some checks to deposit for work. It is absolutely beautiful!!! I am sure I've seen similar snow scenes in my lifetime but don't recall them. With these back roads being the same roads I grew up on I can say the trees have never looked so beautiful!!!!

So we are in the basement riding bikes and playing awhile. I sat down on the sofa next to Ellas Elsa doll that is covered up "resting"... Ella asked if I was babysitting her. I said yes. Next thing I know she was off on her bike talking to Cooper about going to Dunkin Donuts. She then appeared in front of me handing me an imaginary coffee flavored beer with chocolate chips. So I ask myself if I should feel good that my daughter knows me so well she knows how much I love DD coffee or if I drink too much beer. :/

So I realize time and years aren't something that 4.5 year olds understand in its entirety....however I needed to bite my tongue when Ella asked me if the dinosaurs were around when I was born.

I know nobody will read my status but sometimes, when I'm bored, I get wrapped up in a sleeping bag and lather butter all over myself and slide around the kitchen floor pretending I'm a slug.

We had pasta for dinner tonight and I made elbow macaroni instead of something more standard, which in this household is typically rotini or bow tie pasta. After telling the children the pasta is called elbow macaroni, Ella ever so whimsically starts calling it "funny bone pasta".... Guess from now on when having that shaped pasta we will call it "funny bone pasta" :-)

As some know, my little Ebony has been under the weather and was at the vet on Monday. While there she was put on medicine to help with the diseased teeth and hoping it would also help with her breathing issue. She's appeared happier yet still has her little snort going on. I just received a phone call from the vet herself as she received the results from the blood tests they ran on her. Everything looks great and as it should (she broke it all down for me but I couldn't retain it all) the only thing they did find was that Ebony was exposed to Lyme Disease and is now a carrier of it. :( Our main focus is still to fix her breathing issue. In the future collect a urine sample and have tests run on the urine to determine if meds need to be given to keep her kidneys from shutting down. Our vet didn't seem overly concerned with this being an immediate action, but something we should have done soon. We are giving the meds a week to correct her breathing and if it fixes the problem great and she will just need dental work done to remove some of the diseased teeth. However if she doesn't get any better or gets worse we will then need to have xrays done as she may have respiratory polyps or a tumor in her nasal passage. I know she's a dog, but anyone who has a dog knows the love they bring into our lives unconditionally and the happiness they bring to our families. They are constant companions asking for nothing more than a cuddle, lap to lay on and a bowl of food. Please pray for my sweet pup, she's lived a great life and the thought of her being in pain or discomfort hurts me so much. Any prayers are welcomed.
