Came home from a morning in extreme heat, humidity and stinky animals and what do I do after getting Ella and Cooper down for a rest... go out back and plant my flower boxes! First summer using them since moving here, anxious to see how they look after a few weeks!

Happy Mothers Day to my Mommy...I love you and look up to you and all you sacrificed when having me and Matt. Parenting isn't easy and having you to confide in and share my situations with is helpful. I am so thankful for all you have done and continue to do for me and my family. I love you! Happy Mothers Day!

Our evening on our deck under our new solar lit umbrella ended quickly as we heard carpenter bees drilling holes in the wooden sides of our deck. Josh just sprayed the living "bee" jesus out of the entire thing...and up into the holes. Guess we'll catch up on a few tv shows and stare at the wrapped Elsa " the death of me" doll sitting here waiting for tomorrow morning.

Ella is most upset thinking today is her birthday when in reality it's tomorrow. She woke up earlier than normal and insisted that today is the big day. She was in tears yelling and crying as she thinks today is the day she should open gifts and celebrate. I decided to show her the date on my phone so she could see that today is May 9 not May 10. That didn't convince her. Not sure why as she knows the 10th is her birthday. I explained to her that she can choose to be happy today and enjoy today and look forward to tomorrow or be cranky and miss out on a good day with her family as we would still be enjoying our day. After making it downstairs, she informs me that she's afraid she won't see anyone in her birthday. I tried my best to explain that we can't always have a big party and that sometimes parties aren't in your actual birthday. What finally made her smile was when i told her that today is the last day she will be 4! I told her she will never be 4 again. So to enjoy today and enjoy being 4. She looked up at me and said "I'll miss 4." I asked her who would be taking over the number 4? And Cooper chimed in that he would be. This made her smile. Cooper will always take care of the number she outgrows. :-) Now let's hope he doesn't have the same issue out I'll need to figure out who can take care of his outgrown number. Ha!

I will miss the bickering, I will miss the bickering I will miss the bickering during car line.... I'm continuing to tell myself this as next year they won't be here together. 4 more mornings remain of this small era of their lives. Sharing car line experience here at GELC! Without question they week still bicker.
