Tuning out = not my strong suit.
I wish I could tune out the goings on as I sometimes think I would be more pleasent and my days more enjoyable.
Loudness is a difficult thing to tune out unfortunately.

Driving home I suggest to the children that we play the Quiet Game. Cooper followed up with suggesting we play the Loud Game. :/

Listening to Ella sing the Graduation songs she's learning for her upcoming Preschool Graduation. Nice way to wake up over the normal yelling and calling out!

18 Days from today Ella will graduate from Grace Early Learning Center!!! Another chapter in her book of life completed. In 3.5 short months a new chapter will begin.
All the friendships and her wonderful teachers she will always be able to remember as her firsts!
Having to say goodbye to some of her friends is going to be a hurdle for her to overcome as next year she starts a new school where they won't all go.
Time to prepare myself. 18 short days to prepare myself! :-)

Ella has been asking for the 3 foot Elsa doll for her birthday... I'm having a hard time granting this wish as the doll costs $59.99.
It isn't all about the money either... what will she do with the thing? It's obnoxious in my opinion..having a 3 foot doll geared for an age group that can't carry it around so it will sit in a corner or I as the parent will have to tote it up and down the stairs, from the playroom to the couch, to the table to watch her eat, back to the playroom. To the car, where it will need it's on car seat (I mean it is 3 feet tall!!!) Back into the house, up the steps for naps...and it goes on and on and on.
Anyone else have a daughter who has requested this doll? I'm torn as I think in my 37 year old mind it's a waste of money, there are so many other fun things we could get her, she has a zillion Elsa dolls already why do we need to add another even bigger one to the collection? But then I remember she's turning 5...to her this Elsa doll was like my 5th Cabbage Patch Kid when I was 5... it was my biggest wish, even though I had 4 others. To her it's everything.
So I'm torn. Do we spend $60 on a doll that I will be tormented by for months upon months upon months as I will have to carry it everywhere and see my sweet Ella glow in happiness as we gave her exactly what she wanted or do I find something else that is more reasonable, that won't be a thorn and torment me for months.
Opinions?
