Happy to report that while still sluggish and not anywhere near 100% -- both children went to bed feeling better than how they felt when they woke up.
Josh and I are still muddling through but know that we could be a lot worse. We are about to eat the meal my Mom made us last night fir Christmas Eve...

Merry Christmas Friends and Family. The Cook Household is sick and slept 16 hours straight and are probably the only family we know who's children are still opening their presents. Started at 11:15am and are going about it slowly.
I wish all our loved ones near and far a wonderful Christmas. God Bless.

It stinks that the children feel so awful that the thought of putting reindeer food on the front lawn, something they've been looking forward to for weeks, they have no desire to do. This goes for reading the new "The Night Before Christmas" book Barrington gave them this morning too. Plus opening gifts from each other I could see they wanted to but had no energy or desire to do it. So we are waiting till tomorrow. The Santa Cookie Plate I filled on behalf of them too.
The children have been in bed since 6pm and Josh and I came up at 7:30.
I know it could be worse, I know they are sick and will open their gifts even if not tomorrow, it just sucks that the excitement fizzled for them because of being sick.
I hope and pray today was the worst for us all. I hope and pray that Santa drops a splash of health on each of us before he goes back up that chimney.

Coop has an ear infection too. Glad I used my Mommy Gut and took him to the doctor. He's on the same meds as Ella. Now let's get well!!!

The children just checked out Barrington under our tree and laid out the beddies he brought each of them. Ella looked up and said...."wow he knows our sizes! He must have looked at our clothing!"
Both are anxious to wear them this evening to bed. Unless they have fevers. :(
