Ella was goofing around while I read her story tonight. When I took her back into the bathroom so she could sit on the potty one last time I asked her what I read her tonight. She initially answered..”I don’t know.”.. but followed up by saying “Thumbelina.”
I asked her what it is about. After staring me down for what felt like an hour, she said “dreams coming true!”
Ok, how can I argue with that.

Everyday I have to play the role of Captain Hook. After a zillion days of doing so today I decided to incorporate my house tasks into the fun….
We just were searching for treasure with the Captain’s sand vacuum 🙂
Yes it worked, I got the carpets cleaned and the kids stayed very happy!!!

Ella just asked me for as snack. I asked her what she would like. She replied: something fresh.
Something fresh. Wow…there’s a new one. My children love their fruits but never has she referred to fruit as something fresh. It’s always just been fruit or she’s named a specific fruit.
Something fresh…ha!

Ella is in tears because I told her who her teacher is going to be and what room she will be in this school year and she thought that meant that she gets to go now.
So upset…I want to go to my room she’s crying.
Poor kid….How many years til she’s crying cause school is going to start soon?!?

Walking into Giant holding Ella’s hand with my one hand and a bag of pee in the other. These days too shall pass and I’ll miss the wonder of.. are people looking at me wondering if that is a bag of pee!
