What happened to the days of the shoes you wear to school are the shoes you wear all day regardless of if you have gym. Children in Ella's class pack additional shoes on gym days!!! No consideration as to how this puts more work on the teacher, aides etc to get the children changed into sneakers. It is 1 day out of a 6 day cycle that sneakers are needed because of gym. I just feel it's ridiculous that these kids are packing alternative shoes! It's Kindergarten and the teachers have enough on their plates daily that shoe changing, in my opinion, doesn't need to be added to that list of jobs.

Driving to dance Ella shared with me that her one best bud in her classroom is going to Disney this summer. This is the second time she's shared this. Today she shared that he is going to ask his parents if she can come too!!! What a first date!!!

Opened my mailbox to find this!!! I won a gift certificate!! This made my day, seriously my favorite restaurant and I won!!! Double date anyone?

Driving to school Cooper told me his heart was "beeping". I asked him to repeat himself. He said " Mommy it's beeping, beeping like this... And shows me with his hands how it's "beeping" really really fast. I hated to correct him. It's beat, Cooper I don't think your heart is making a beeping noise.

Picking out the perfect outfit each morning is a very time consuming task for Ella. We went through a winter phase of wearing stretch pants and t shirts everyday despite all the beautiful clothing hanging in her closet. Just when I accepted this she now is into skirts, capri's and shirts that match... Ok!!!! Today however she selected a cute denim skirt with some frill at the bottom. The shirt selection process was hard as she wanted some floral that went with the frill print. She was pulling at every shirt in her closet not caring if it matches... If it had a floral print it qualified! She finally settled for a t shirt that has LET IT GO in Elsa Blue and sparkly on the front and it matches great with the frill. Now on to the shoes, this is where things got sticky... She wanted flip flops or sandals. Flip flops are a no go at school and she doesn't own any decent sandals. I suggested a few pairs and she says: Mommy I really want a pair that are flowery since we are learning about flowers. I smiled. Oh course you do. We settled on Twinkle Toes.

This weather is such a blessing! Ella comes home from school and outdoors they go! They are playing soccer out back right now!!! Thank goodness for spring! And the even bigger blessing is Cooper isn't bothered by his allergies which usually prohibits him from being outside this time of year!

Meeting your childhood girlfriend to discuss nutrition and share with her the solutions that have worked for Josh and me to change ourselves for the better and chat like we are still 12 years old without a care is happiness!
