Cooper got out Ella's Doc McStuffins Doctor Bag book. It has pop out pieces that can be used to give a check up. Ella saw this and immediately wanted it. Teaching taking turns, patience and sharing has been an ongoing training in this house for some time. I told Ella that when Coop was finished giving a check up he would give her the book. She said fine and went upstairs. A few minutes passed and she returned with Coopers favorite: Thomas the Train bath squirter. He sleeps with it and it goes everywhere with him. I looked at her, smiled and told her she is too smart. (Thinking Coop would lose interest in the book) Well it back fired, Coop continued to give the checkup he was giving making his sister wait. Unhappy but tolerant she found something else to play with. Proud of them both...he finished his checkup and gave the book to her...now both are playing nicely together!

I used Nilla Wafers as the yokes in last evenings Dr. Seuss dessert. Today I have the children a couple on their lunch plate and Ella calls them "egg thing cookies" :-) Introduction to a new item used to make a cute dessert may cause my child to refer to the cookie as an egg cookie!

Realizing I don't know the majority of the movies etc. that are up for an Oscar. Josh Cook just insulted the dead man Gil's wife. I do agree her dress is ugly.

We were playing with play food and it was all over the room. Cooper decided he was ready to move on and play with his cars. I asked him to clean up the food and then I would play cars with him. He looks at me and says "lose it"... I think my eyes popped out of my head...I asked him if he would rather lose the basket of play food instead of clean it up. He said yes. I now am the proud owner of a basket of play food. He has his cars ready to play with and I already told him if he doesn't clean them up when he is done with them they will all become mine. I was just shocked that he verbally declared he wanted to lose the basket of food before I told him if he didn't clean the stuff up he'd lose it!

Cooper is such a funny child. He sleeps with everything....he is currently at Quiet Time and he has about 10 matchbox cars, 3 pillows, his flashlight friend, a ring tower, 4 books, his Thomas the Train bath toy and his pup Jingle. Once he is in bed and snuggled in he then points to things around his room that he wants. He won't get out of bed (which I think is a blessing at this point)...so if he forgets something he then calls out "Mommy". While I don't like returning to his room I'm afraid if I dismiss his call and don't see what he wants it may be that he needs the potty. So at this point I return to his room. He is a funny kid, always something with him!
