Its amazing how quickly you feel like a failure and let down to your children. Having them both want you to color with them and only being able to physically hold one crayon and choose Ellas paper or Coopers paper having the other sit there and whine to color with them. –feeling at a loss.

We are watching Jake and the Netherland Pirates before naps. Ella and I were singing the theme song while it was playing and at the end it goes…Jake and the Netherland Pirates and me!!!!! Coop chimes in really loudly “ME”…..too stinkin’ adorable!

Cooper received the CARS Storybook Collection for his birthday. We started reading it to him before bed each night. For a boy who wouldn’t sit through 2 pages of a story, he now lays as still as can be and listens to page after page of the story. Each section is approximately 15 pages in length.
Hes growing up and I love reading to him!!!!

Today while at the orthopedic specialist..We were told no swimming, no sand, no beach… Ella heard no beach and got really upset.
Didn’t cry when they touched her leg, cried when she heard no beach. We have a trip planned to Myrtle Beach this fall…She was afraid we won’t go.
Her frown disappeared when I told her that her cast would be long gone by then!

We saw the Orthopedic Specialist and Ella had a hard cast put on her leg. She had to keep the cast on for 4 weeks. While those four weeks seemed like they would be an eternity, we tried to keep busy and not think about swimming pools, walks or sandboxes. She was a real trooper through the whole process and in the end she got the cast off 5 days early!

At my cousin’s picnic Ella broke her leg. A big dog jumped up on her and Ella lost her balance and fell backwards cracking her tibia. Luckily it is a non-weight bearing bone and it was only a crack. We took her to Urgent Care in Limerick and they put a temporary cast on. We need to take her to an orthopedic specialist tomorrow. She will get a hard cast on then.
