I’m 1664 (+1) Weeks Old!

Tuesday we left work early and headed toward Philly again for the Christina Aguilera concert.  Since we got down to the stadium early, we decided to stop at Chickies and Petes for a quick dinner.  After some great fries and kinda-okay pizza, we headed to the Wachovia Center for the concert.  Woohoo!

The first thing Megan and I realized after getting to the Wachovia Center was that we are old. While probably not the oldest people at the concert, since many parents bring their children, but definitely on the older side. Plus there were girls everywhere – thirteen to sixteen year old girls trying to look like they were well into their twenties, but I guess that’s the thing to do at that age. There were two opening acts, Danity Kane and the Pussy Cat Dolls.  I’ve never heard of Danity Kane before but I guess they were okay for the audience they are trying to target.  The Pussy Cat Dolls have been on some of the TV shows that we watch and I’ve heard some of their music before, although while their music was okay at best they did remind me of strippers on stage.  Not that I know what strippers on stage look like or anything…

So at ten after nine the lights finally dimmed and Christina started the show.  Performing a mixture of her older music and songs from both of her current Cd’s, she did an excellent job.  One of the reason that Megan and I love her music so much is because she actually performs.  Her concert isn’t a big dance show with the lead performer lip syncing to their own music – she actually sings!

The concert was absolutely incredible and Megan and I are looking forward to listening to Christina’s music as it continues to grow and mature.

My birthday is now over and it’s just under another year until I turn 33.  But if next year is half as great as this year, it’s going to be yet again incredible.

Thank you Megan – I love you!!!

The answer to your queston is … 1. You are actually making a statement in your quote, not asking a second question. You are stating…”I wonder how many”, not asking “how many”. I may not get A+’s in Computer Shit 101, but Grammer….. definately an easy “A”!
