Ella just announced to Cooper that when he gets older he is going to get a pair of sparkly shoes.I honestly think she thinks he would be happy with a pair of sparkly ballerina slipper shoes. It's going to break her little heart when she comes to learn he is going to probably be more interested in work boots, CAR shoes and cleets...along with many other differences in the years to come....but for now she can believe he'll love the same shoes as her. I'm sure she'll talk him into letting her/"make him up" when she receives her first make up set too!
And who knows maybe he'll take up dance...somehow I don't see that happening...he isn't very graceful in step! :-)

Ella made the decision last night to sleep in panties over a night time diaper. Proud to say she woke up this morning accident free!!!!

Oh tough love..it's so hard on us as parents. Watching our little ones tantrum out in front of us because they are being taken to bed early for poor listening skills.
Since waking up from their naps they both have made countless poor decisions ending them in countless timeouts. After a horrible dinner performance, more bad listening, hitting each other and repeated nos...Mommy and Daddy said it's bedtime without their evening shows. This of course caused more screaming, yelling and unwillingness from them both.
I hope they both sleep well and wake up in a better frame of mind.
One of the toughest things in parenting is making the decision to take away something you know will only cause more yelling and screaming only to hope the final outcome will be that they one day learn.
We do it because we love you, not because we want to see you unhappy!

Driving home from lunch we were listening to Cooper 's favorite song, Old McDonald had a farm, or as he calls it EIEIO.
I hear Coop in the back calling Ella.
Cooper: Mana (as he says)
Cooper: Mana
Me: Ella he's calling you.
Ella: oh yeah, what Coop?
Cooper: eieio
Ella: yes I know Cooper. :-)
This continued for a good 5 minutes.. she then tells him get name is Ella not Mana!
