My baby girl is expressing an interest in wanting to learn to read!!!! She has been asking Josh and I where we are on the page when reading, so we both have been using our finger to follow the words as we read. Tonight she wanted me to use her finger to follow the words and was saying words out loud (even though they weren't the correct words) as I read.
I asked her if she would like me to get her a book that we can start to teach her to read and she said yes!!!!
I am a bit shocked but at the same time not surprised at all that she is expressing this interest. She is always wanting to learn and is so intelligent surprising so many of us with her knowledge at times!

The noise a kazoo makes is awful. Who invented that horrid noise and thought....oh that is pleasant, everyone will love that sound.

Ella and I were playing cars with Cooper. He likes handing you a car and then having you put it down. He's been doing this for over a year now. I got clever and started putting them in color lines.
Today while playing cars I decided that Cooper had to tell me what color the car was before I would put it in its line. Every car was Brown, according to him. Ella picked up on this and tried helping Cooper and after much attempt she decided in her words "The sun is out now, maybe Cooper can see the colors now!"
All I could do was laugh.

It amazes me how two children cut from the same cloth have such different reactions to a flu shot. Ella no signs of ever receiving the shot, while Coop had a fever on Saturday and now is suffering from congestion and a gunky nose. :(
I feel so badly for him.

Taking Ella to bed tonight we were talking about holidays. After giving her an explanation about what exactly Thanksgiving is and how we eat turkey on Thanksgiving, she tells me that she wants something else to eat on Nicegiving (that is not a miss spelling or a smart phone auto correct).....so this year we will be celebrating Thanksgiving followed by Nicegiving, where I am sure we won't be eating turkey!

Cooper has been calling tractor trailers pick up trucks. Today I told him they are tractor trailer trucks.His small little boy voice saying tractor trailer trucks makes me smile each and every time!
