I honestly feel like Target is my second home. I am always at that place.

I just held up the entire car line as I forgot to unlock the doors before trying to open them! As if it isn't enough that you have to have the car in park, ya also need to remember to unlock the doors! Asking a little much of me....maybe I'm the one who isn't ready for car line!!!

Both kids in bed before 8pm = wine, pretzels and catching up on some tv shows. Is it really only 9:30pm???

This morning for the first time I did car drop off line with the children. Some of Ella's classmates have been doing it this school year and her one girlfriend started it recently. I asked Ella if she would like to do car line and she said yes. This morning I asked her and she was overly willing and very excited about it. I was a bit nervous as I wasn't sure how Cooper would handle it. We approach the drop off point and I can see how excited Ella is and I look at Coop and realize he's my baby..am I really about to cut another string? Let them walk into school without me. Part of me wanted to put my foot on the gas and run Hope Girard over and park my car and walk them both in...but I knew that the willingness they both were showing I needed to do this. As they exit the car and have their back packs on...I see my son and daughter once again opening their wings and flying. I looked back over my shoulder before driving away and see Cooper's big brown eyes looking back over his shoulder at me. He was either saying we're ok Mom or what have you done, why aren't you walking in with me. I'll find out how they did soon!!!

I think Ella partially understands what halloween is, but at the same time I think she is somewhat unclear that you buy 1 costume and decide on 1 thing to dress up as....unless you attend a zillion parties, which she isn't...she's 3! We purchased a Cinderella outfit before school started because she really wanted to be Cinderella. Then she saw a Doc McStuffin outfit...which she selected as her reward purchase. Ok, fine. She now tells me first thing each morning and last thing each night as well as numerous times throughout the day that she wants the Izzy costume from Jake! When I think about it, I don't think she realizes that you dress up in these outfits on Halloween. I think she may believe that these are fun dress up outfits to be used whenever..after all she is a girl and loves playing dress up. She wears the Doc outfit when ever we are home and it's clean. I'm thinking it's the same thought process with the Izzy costume. So, do we permit her to get yet another costume knowing that she doesn't necessarily want to be yet another thing for Halloween but only really wants it to use for dress up? Plus, she probably won't be up for another reward until after Halloween when the Izzy costume will be gone. Do I buy it and keep it till she earns it?

Johnson's company has a bath bar for children to teach them to wash with bar soap.... this thing is genius incredible. ..it is covered with a mesh like fabric so the bar doesn't slip out of their tiny hands! While in Myrtle Beach, Ella wanted to try using my soap. I allowed her to use it but she ended up getting it in her eyes and it kept slipping out of her hands. I saw this Johnsons bar while at Target the other day and thought why not. So glad I spent the $2.00.... she cleaned herself completely by herself! !!
