I am seeing such a tremendous change in Cooper. He has really started to use his words and speak more and more.
Today we had a great day together. Usually once he makes a bad choice, he spirals into bad choice mode but today he was excellent and made so many good choices proving to me that he understands and knows what is the better way of doing things.
Tonight he asked me to carry him upstairs and I told him I couldn't because I had his bin to carry up. (Each child has a small bin that they keep anything they want in and it goes back and forth from their bedroom to the downstairs...this makes it easier cause if it isn't in the bin come bedtime or naptime they do without it)...
Anyway...I gave him the choice of me carrying him and his bin would stay downstairs for the night and he would lose his reward sticker, or he could be a big boy and walk up the stairs holding my hand and I would carry his bin. He didn't like either option at first and asked for Daddy to carry him up. I explained that Daddy was already upstairs putting Ella to bed and he would not be coming back down to carry Coop up. I gave him his choices a second time and told him he needed to make the choice or I would and then he'd lose his sticker. I have him 30 seconds to think it over and then asked him if he would like to take my hand and walk up the steps. He replied yes.
So very proud of him and while I know he is only 2.5 years old he has grown so much in his understandings and is learning to make better choices!

One of Ella's car time favorites is putting her feet on the sliding door while we go anywhere. Josh and I have taken the approach of always telling her to remove her feet and to please not do it again. This may work for about 3 minutes and then her feet are back on the door. The next time we are in the van her feet are back on the door.
Today I pulled out my Clever Mommy Brains (yes believe it or not I do still have the ability to be clever from time to time)...I told her if she put her feet on the door again I was going to remove the door and she'd have to ride without a door. Josh jumped on this full throttle and told her she could ride home tonight from my parents with the door open to get an idea of how it would be. The girl did not like that idea!
When we left my parents and Josh said to Ella..."oh, yeah Ella your riding home with the door open aren't you" and he opened her door. She cried no and became visually upset and we closed the door before we moved an inch...guess what, no feet on the door the ride home.
Think the problem is solved?? Stay tuned.

Ella jumped in a puddle walking to the car. She jumped so hard her pant leg got soaked! Driving in the car and she announces that she wants the puddle off her leg!

Neighbors son is in a band. Band practices in their basement. When we moved in they didn't sound half bad, sat on our deck and kinda enjoyed. Since the cold weather has set in they sound more like death metal...it is horrible and I can hear it through the walls when I'm in our kitchen. Guess the winter months make them cranky.

All day they have done nothing but bicker and torment each other. Right now Ella is saying "I wear panties!" And Cooper says "I wear diapers!" Back and forth.
