I'm not getting my hopes up...but Coop did a fantastic job on the potty today. He woke up dry this morning and throughout the day kept a dry diaper until after his nap. He also peed on the potty at least 4 times!
I of course wish this to be the beginning of the end of size 4 diapers and hope to have a visit from the Diaper Dude soon but if he regresses that is ok too!
One thing I learned the first time through, don't push it!

Tonight as one of our bedtime viewings with the children we watched one of the new Doc McStuffins. This episode was about Doc going to her friend Emmie's house for a sleepover and how she missed her parents. Ella was all eyes during the show...glued to the tv.
We head up to bed and as she reaches the top of the stairsteps she breaks down into tears. I hear her through tears and sobs asking if I will miss her when she's at a sleepover. My heart melts as my sweet sweet girl is upset over something that once she completely understands what a sleepover is will love them! I talked to her about it explaining that she doesn't need to go on a sleepover until she is comfortable in going on one and that until that time comes she doesn't have to stay overnight at a friend's house. I told her that maybe we could have a sleepover at MoMom and PoPops first which she seemed to like.
Children are amazing...I love her to pieces, to the moon and beyond!

Cooper and I were looking at a color book and I was having him tell me each color. We get to the blue page and he says it's black....immediately following that answer with..."not black!" - He's so darn cute!

Cooper was waiting his turn to sit and try to pee on the potty, as Ella was going. I'm in Ella's room getting her bed ready for quiet time and I over hear Ella explain to Cooper how you poop on the potty. She's telling him that you need to sit and wait...omgoodness little minds!

Came home after dropping Ella and Coop off at school and managed to go through and get a bag full of stuffed animals ready to donate to a cancer fundraiser, boxed up old boy clothing for a friend having a baby boy in March, boxed up old toys I'm going to take to the consignment shop and organized some basement bins. I then took a bag of infant clothing to a donation bin and even had time to purchase a shirt for.75 cents!!! All this before 11 am!

One thing I realize, while most are extremely cute and hard to resist, stuffed animals are horrible. Children love them and I understand why but most of the time unless the stuffed toy is a favorite it tends to be left in a pile in one's bedroom.
I just went through the playroom, basement and both children's bedroom and ended up with a giant bag full of stuffed toys to get rid of. They still have an overwhelming number of the creatures, feels like I didn't even make a dent! Sad thing being they have so many they won't even know any of these are missing....
My next problem is what do I do with this bag of stuffed cuddley creatures? I hate to dump them in the trash can.
