Day #1 of Barrington The Elf as part of our family = success. Watching Ella and Cooper interact with each other and reminding each other that Barrington is watching them is priceless. This morning while I was getting myself ready for church the house was so quiet, which never happens as Josh is usually fighting with them about getting their teeth brushed, hair combed etc.... not the case this morning....it was so quiet I thought "wow this Elf thing is fabulous as they are listening and behaving so well or Josh has killed them!" Happy to inform the Elf thing worked that well!!! What a great day one! Both said goodnight to Barrington before going to bed and sent messages with him on his travels to the North Pole this evening.

Josh asked the kiddos if they wanted to ride their bikes in the basement a bit before Quiet Time. Off course they said yes. Ella was still in her dress and fancy shoes from Sunday School this morning so she and I went upstairs so she could get changed. The men of the house checked on her a couple times as they were waiting for her to go to the basement. I overheard Josh tell Cooper that he's learning a valuable lesson...he will always wait for the ladies. ;)

Anyone familiar with Sunday School song "Standing in the Need of Prayer".... Ella sings it like this... "Its me, its me oh Lord, standing in the Need of bread." The girl insists those are the words.

We are putting our Christmas Tree up later today. Ella asked this morning where we are putting it. Josh said outside. Her response... "I don't want it outside Daddy, the glitter will come off the Doc Mobile."

Josh Cook and I just built a chair for the little guy who is going to take residency in our house for the month of December. We understand "no touchie" is a big rule for this guy and with seeing some of the situations his friends have gotten themselves into at other friends and families houses we decided a chair may be a good place for our visitor to sit so he doesn't get touched.
