When the water canister isn't properly placed in the coffee maker the coffee maker won't make coffee. Figured this out by the awful sound my coffee maker was making followed by looking at it closely to find beads of condensation and a bad smell. I also placed my hand directly on the top of the maker to try and jiggle the canister into place only to burn 3 of my fingers. This is my coffee maker way of being angry since I should be at DD getting my free coffee thanks to the Eagles win last night!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING friends, family and loved ones! I am so thankful for my family (immediate and extended)...they are my world and everyday I count my blessings that I have them in my life. My friends (you know who you are) ...I value you and all that you give me through our friendship. Friends are important and unlike family, we choose who we want to be friends with and I treasure each of our friendships and am thankful you are a part of my life. FB friends whether we are life long aquaintances, just met or stumbled upon each other's paths along the way..I am thankful for keeping in touch through FB. I am an avid user and many friends and family see my postings add a way to keep in touch. Those of you who share, thank you as I enjoy reading about your families, children and even when you are enjoying dinner at Red Lobster! We are all thankful for different things and on this day let's all be thankful for the land we live in, the Pilgrims and Indians and the first meal they shared together as one. Happy Thanksgiving!

We are in the middle of a Sermon Series at church titled "God's Extreme Makeover".....this past Sunday the message focused on reading scripture and we were challenged to download a Bible Ap onto our Smartphones. This morning I did just that and I hope to find a few minutes at something throughout my day to read some scripture.

As a parent I always feel the need to help and teach. I've also come to realize the children need to learn on their own and sometimes the continual instruction only causes frustration on all involved. This morning for example we had a listening issue on how much toothpaste one should use. I once again was trying to instruct and tell Cooper that too much toothpaste isn't a good idea to which he threw a fit. I started to explain to him why and he wanted nothing to do with it in turn frustrating myself. This led to the next issue of getting our hair brushed which ended in both Ella and Coopers' hair brushes breaking as a result. I am taking a new approach in these next 6 days and if it isn't a lesson that is necessarily needed, i am going to let them figure it out for themselves. I've read many times that children need to learn for themselves. If it is something that requires help or is without question something a parent should teach their child then I will but if it's a toothpaste thing or hair brush thing I plan to let them figure it out, make their own decisions and let them ask for help if needed. Parenting is hard and I for one am a person who likes to teach so my children understand and can do things right rather than learn the hard way. However sometimes letting them take the reigns won't necessarily mean they will learn the hard way they will k just learn at their own pace.

Lord give me the strength, patience, energy and overall ability to conquer the challenge of the next 6 days..... A 4 year old, over confident little gal, who feels she knows best and who has the mind set and attitude of a princess. A 3 year old, stubborn and over confident little guy, who wants his way and does not like to listen. I need a survival kit packed the brim with coffee, wine, chocolate, a masseuse, a blow up padded bubble (for extreme out of control behaviour only...for my use, not theirs) & solar stickers so I can regain my energy quickly. Here's hoping for a fun, happy Thanksgiving Break!
