Today not only marks Coopers fourth birthday it also marks a huge milestone for him. Cooper is willingly giving up his binkie! Yes, he had used a binkie up till now at nap and bedtime and only used it till he was asleep then he usually spit it out or I'd find it hanging out if his mouth!!! For months he's been telling us that when he turns 4 he would give his binkie up in turn getting his big boy bed, retiring his toddler bed!!! Nap time #1 = him crying and most upset as he changed his mind and wanted his binkie back saying he'd give it up when he's 5! I calmly explained he's a big boy and has a lot of nice big boy things and that a baby needed his binkies. He cried saying he's a baby. I told him he's not and that when I look around his room I see so many big boy things. He laid down and after 20 minutes I heard him crying for his binkie. I went into his room and found him sobbing. We chatted and he found some of his stuffed friends and named them binkie..He requested some orange friends because his favorite binkie was orange. He then asked if he could get his big boy bed now. I explained that he needs to sleep without his binkie a week before he gets his big boy bed BUT I could bring the head board in so he could look at it and when he feels sad he can remember that he's working towards that big bed. He now has his bed up against the frame so he feels like he's in his big bed and holding all his new found binkie friends! Together we will say bye to those binkies!!!

It's mind boggling to me that the people who consider themselves "Good Christians" and sit in a seat in church on Sundays are some of the rudest, inconsiderate people. I understand we all have our own stories but wow all the lessons, scripture and msgs we hear and listen to weekly must just go in one ear and out another. I realize we all have bad moments which can lead to us being less patient etc but more and more I've come across more "Good Christians" who's behavior and mannerisms are worse than those who don't follow Christ or label themselves as "Good Christians" Saddens me.

We had a great time yesterday celebrating a special birthday with a special lady! The children loved spending time with their Grandparents, Aunt Jaime and Uncle William!!! Minus the upheaval from one little one it was great and the fireworks were a success!!! Thanks for a great time Jaime, B, Terri and Jim!!!
