Great first week for both my kiddos.
Ella loves Kindergarten, her teacher, friends, the bus, lunch, recess and all the specials. I honestly don't think she complained about anything except the heat at recess earlier this week!
She finished up her week with having Library today and was so excited about the book she brought home.
Cooper had a good first week as well. He missed yesterday due to a cold/allergies but was happy going today. He's settling in well because as we know change and Cooper don't go well. He traced his name today all by himself, which is a BIG deal as he's still learning to hold his pencil correctly.
Very proud of both kiddos. This school year unloaded a huge amount of change on us as a family and they handled the first week fabulously.
Here's to a great school year!!

First I think ever that Ella asked to sleep in longer. I feel badly but at the same time...... Redemption. Ha :)

A few have asked how Ella made out today. I'm sorry for not writing a post, I added the pictures I have from her getting off the bus. They are under her 5 year album.
Ella had a fabulous first day! Her bus ride to school was great and a highlight was she met up with a girl who she was in PreK last year and they are now bus partners! She had a great day in her classroom with a few children she knows and her new friends. She shared with us songs her teacher taught her, her Cubbie #, who she sits with at her table, some of the artwork she did. Lunch was a big success and she went on about the rules of the cafeteria! Recess she enjoyed but it was HOT!!! She had music today and thought it was so funny that her teacher is a man!!! This is a first as all her teachers to this point have been females:)
Day 1 was a success and she's excited for another day. Tomorrow we will add another new to her life by doing parent pick up line in the afternoon as she has dance at 4:30!!!

Apparently I am Adam Levine and Rachel Plattens Mother. They are now role playing famous people.
One day in Kindergarten and PreK and the puppy role play is no more (at least for now)....
Nice seeing happy children after day 1 of the school year!

In less than an hour Ella will be home! Cooper and I agreed on our drive home from gymnastics that we miss her.

Picked Coop up from his first day asked him how it was and he said fun! When I asked him what he did he told me he played with cars and in the kitchen. I probed him to find out that his teacher read them a book and they had circle time.
Of course the first thing he told me was that he had goldfish and a cookie for snack.
Happy he had a good morning! He doesn't go tomorrow as the other half of his class will add they split the class in two for the first 2 days of school. Thursday will be his next class!!!
