Almost a week late...
Chinese Food, wine, a few gifts and each other!
It's been a fast 7 years - a busy 7 years - a life changing 7 years and just like the copper on a penny we may not be as shiny as the day we said "I Do" but the love we have has deepened with age just like the color of a copper penny does.

We finished the day with a happy exciting moment of Ella reading an entire Level 1 book by herself, so proud of her!
This was followed by a tear jerker moment as she prayed for her Uncle Matt telling God that she hopes he is having a fun time in Africa and she can't wait to see him. After we said Amen she asked when we would see him and I said not til we go to Disney... She looked at me and said that is a long time from now. To which I said yes, that he lives in Africa now he isn't visiting this time. She balled her eyes out and of course I couldn't control my eyes from doing the same, so we cried together. And after some comforting words, putting his picture on her night stand and promising her we'd send him something soon she seemed ok.
Ya take the good, ya take the bad, ya take the happy and the sad.... The facts of life!

Having a 5 & a half year old who likes Paw Patrol isn't easy. Once a girl moves into size 6 I guess you are supposed to stop liking these cute little helpful pups as you can't find any clothing any sizes bigger than 5T.
Elsa, Anna, Minions, Minnie Mouse, any other princess figure, My Little Pony too, but forget about the cute little pups, it ain't happening.
Today Cooper came home with a new Beddie and its gonna break Ella's heart as there weren't any big sized Paw Patrol for girls... I not that she needs another Beddie!!! She does need new slippers and that is what we chose for her.. Cute cheetah ones. I'm hoping they are cute enough that she loves them and isn't too upset about not having a Paw Patrol Beddie.

Halloween Outfits √
Cooper was with me and selected his. Ella, oh Ella...I don't think it matters what is selected as she will change her mind the day before anyway. What I selected was something she wanted to be and was on her list so hopefully she will be happy with it!!!

If I were a squirrel I would make my dwelling in my yard... Acorns, Acorns and more Acorns.
Honestly I can't stand on my driveway without fearing I'll get pelted in the head. My driveway looks like an acorn massacre took place.
And that picture doesn't clearly show just how many squashed acorns there are!

This is my favorite song and the one song I've sang to both Ella and Cooper since they were born.
Fitting quote to go along with being a "Bucket Filler" and a "Nuturer"... Being someone's sunshine when their skies are grey will most definitely fill their bucket and nurture their souls.
