Making rice for dinner. I have the uncooked rice measured out and find Ella and Cooper both eating the uncooked rice.
Yum, this is good they both say.
Ella: Tastes like French fries!
Huh. You don't like French Fries.

This morning I was volunteering in Coopers classroom and was reading with one of the girls in his class. She looked at me as said.. " I wish I had a Mommy like you."
After I asked her twice what she said, as I wasn't certain I heard her correctly, I asked her why.
I couldn't image what the answer would be. I go in weekly and the children read to me and I help them sound out words they don't know. I help the teacher with classroom odds and ends and sometimes make copies.
What is so special about me...
Her answer was... "I wish my Mommy had hair like yours, it's so pretty and smells so nice."
Yet again why I so enjoy volunteering and being around these children.

Working this morning some of the kiddos brought in Valentine's Day gifts for me. Seeing their faces light up when they hand the gift over melts my heart and truly humbles me. It's a true honor to work with these kiddos a couple times a week and I'm so glad I decided to start working with preschoolers. It isn't the easiest of jobs, but the experiences , their smiling faces and watching them grow into their own selves is an honor to see.

So proud of Cooper he just completed the Read S'More Books 100 Book Club!!!
He wrote on his 100th book today!
While he read way more than 100, fighting him to write them on the list has been a challenge.
