After much contemplation, Josh and I have decided the time has come to part ways with Commerce Bank. While this may come as a shock to some of you, it really came as a shock to me. Josh, the silent spokesperson for Commerce, leaving the bank he stood behind and promoted to many, how can this be? Not to mention that Commerce Bank became known as Commerce Cook because I swear he was in love with this bank, maybe more than he loves me, is that possible?
What a sad revelation this has brought to me today, soon, very soon, there will be no more Commerce Cook! But on a happier side of things, soon, very soon, there will be a Megan Cook!

For a few weeks we continued to wake up every night around the same time – 5am – to hear the Lords Prayer. While there are many good renditions of The Lords Prayer this, in our opinion, is certainly isn’t one of our favorites.

When I was younger, much younger, I remember asking people of age how old they were and the person I asked usually seemed to have a problem remembering their exact age. After thinking a few seconds/minutes they would respond by saying something like “I think I’m x years old” or “fifty something”. That always confused me – until recently.

During the winter of 2006/2007 we really wanted to write this post. We started several times although just never finished it for some reason. Honestly now in the winter of 2008 the post no longer applies – mainly because we got smart! But because we still jokingly ask each other if we Checked the Bucket we thought it would be right to add to our history. That’s the whole point of our web site, right! 🙂

Last night we joined Megan’s Godparents at her parent’s house for an early celebration of Megan’s 30th birthday. After dinner Megan’s Mom asked if anyone would like tea, and if so, what type would they like. Three choices were offered. Of the three people who requested tea, all three requested a different kind.
What could possibly go wrong…
