One thing that Josh and I have realized that is when we try to explain the layout of our house it isn’t the easiest of all things to explain. For you see, our house isn’t a standard townhouse, it isn’t a standard row home, and while it is considered a carriage house, many have no idea what the heck that is and probably are thinking we live on someone else’s property in their carriage house, or that we live with the horses, neither of which is true!
After much contemplation, Josh and I have decided the time has come to part ways with Commerce Bank. While this may come as a shock to some of you, it really came as a shock to me. Josh, the silent spokesperson for Commerce, leaving the bank he stood behind and promoted to many, how can this be? Not to mention that Commerce Bank became known as Commerce Cook because I swear he was in love with this bank, maybe more than he loves me, is that possible?
What a sad revelation this has brought to me today, soon, very soon, there will be no more Commerce Cook! But on a happier side of things, soon, very soon, there will be a Megan Cook!
For a few weeks we continued to wake up every night around the same time – 5am – to hear the Lords Prayer. While there are many good renditions of The Lords Prayer this, in our opinion, is certainly isn’t one of our favorites.
When I was younger, much younger, I remember asking people of age how old they were and the person I asked usually seemed to have a problem remembering their exact age. After thinking a few seconds/minutes they would respond by saying something like “I think I’m x years old” or “fifty something”. That always confused me – until recently.
I jinxed myself this time, no doubt. The 3 months that I waited with bated breath for the arrival of my wedding gown, I had the dreadful thought that something would be horrifically wrong with it when it did finally arrive. Looks like this time I had ESP. 🙂
During the winter of 2006/2007 we really wanted to write this post. We started several times although just never finished it for some reason. Honestly now in the winter of 2008 the post no longer applies – mainly because we got smart! But because we still jokingly ask each other if we Checked the Bucket we thought it would be right to add to our history. That’s the whole point of our web site, right! 🙂
Not literally my stain…..
While watching the Super Bowl this year, Josh and I did see a few commercials that made us laugh out loud, but this one really made me giggle. I’ve only seen it a couple times since and every time I laugh out loud.
