Viva Las Vegas

With all the crap that we’ve gone through the last few years, it’s about time we finally have the chance to enjoy a long vacation together. We’ve been away here and there for a day or two, but as we all know that’s really just not the same as going away for an extended period of time. Somewhere far enough away where home is far away. Our vacation to Las Vegas!

While Megan knew that Tuesday was going to be a long day at work, Josh continued to believe the day would be quick. Guess who was right??? The day dragged for both of us – it seemed like we were at work for eight days, not eight hours. But, it was finally over and our vacation officially started.

Before heading off to the hotel, we decided to kick off our vacation with a Sushi dinner at Pacific Blue – our favorite local Sushi spot. After dinner Megan’s parents drove us to our hotel, which was located just outside the Philadelphia International Airport. We decided to stay at the Hampton Inn because of our prior experience during our Six Flags Great Adventure trip, but boy were we disappointed this time. The people weren’t as friendly, the room wasn’t as nice and there was a “hole” in the shower. Yes, this hole was really just a vent in the bathroom, but it was disturbing to find it in the shower. Just not right.

Since there was a Ruby Tuesdays next door and we were craving a sweet desert, we decided to run over for a quick snack. After a brownie Sundae, Chocolate Molten Tower and two drinks it was back to the hotel for Law and Order (dun dun).

I believe your vacation was terrific because you were together…… it didn’t really matter what happened around you, because you had a good time together. Try packing a lunch next time! It seemed that all your problems revolved around food, which is a pretty important thing in my book. And Megan….next time it’s Saurbraten or better yet Goulash! And remember…. The “Stars”, all seven of them, work at the buffets or resturants…try the card, may even be free! 🙂
